MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Bridging the Gap of Van Zandt County makes a profound difference in the lives of seniors and in-home health patients by addressing the critical needs that often go unmet through traditional healthcare programs. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, they provide essential resources such as mobility aids, nutritional support, home safety items, and other personal necessities that improve quality of life for those who are most vulnerable. By filling in the gaps where insurance and government programs fall short, they ensure that seniors can maintain their independence, dignity, and comfort in their own homes. Their commitment not only enhances individual well-being but also strengthens the fabric of the community by supporting its aging population with compassion and care.

Connecting Purpose to Passion
Since 2024
serving & uplifting our community
Bridging the Gap of Van Zandt County was founded in June 2023 with a mission to serve and uplift our community. Since its launch, the nonprofit has hosted several impactful events, including celebrations for International Women’s Day and Veterans Day. In December 2024, we proudly organized our first annual Canton Jingle Jog, bringing the community together for a festive and charitable cause.
Our efforts extend beyond events, as we actively work to support those in need through initiatives like our Summer Fan Drive in 2024, which provided much-needed relief to community members facing the Texas heat. We’ve also assisted individuals experiencing hardships, whether by securing temporary housing, helping veterans make ends meet, or providing essential appliances for elderly residents.
Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. We’ve partnered with local organizations such as food banks and East Texas Ramps to maximize our impact and serve as a beacon of hope for those in need. Our ongoing mission is to raise funds and resources to support our neighbors and make a lasting difference in Van Zandt County.
